The Food for Thought Truck is the brainchild of Sam Talbot, children's performer turned corporate bookseller turned copyeditor turned indie novelist.​

Our mission is simple: we are an indie bookstore dedicated to introducing and amplifying indie voices. We do that by featuring a curated list of titles published by small/micro-presses and author-publishers alongside quality, competitively priced secondhand books.

Our truck is a 1966 Grumman bread van, which is being painstakingly restored and converted by the incredible team of automotive wizards at Dixon Motoworks in Stevensville, MI, headed by the inimitable Mr Scott Dixon.

Stay tuned for updates as well as news about the inaugural ride, which should be happening sometime in the summer of 2025!
